I am a 50-year-old. My urologist diagnosed localized prostate cancer with a Gleason score of 6. I have been advised to consider active surveillance, but I am worried about missing the opportunity to treat it early. What are the chances of progression, and what monitoring tests should I expect? Should I consider a second opinion before deciding? Please help.
