What causes palpitations and dyspnea in a person with vitamin deficiency?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a long-term vitamin deficiency, and I tested it after eight months. I had heart palpitations one day in the car and was unable to listen to sounds. I felt uncomfortable, and my heart was heavy. I still have a fast heartbeat, and I feel uncomfortable near heavy bass sounds. Now, my vitamin B12 is normal. For the last four months, I have had excessive burping and shortness of breath, too. I am currently taking Entero Plus. Kindly suggest.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

Regarding your symptoms of palpitations, unable to listen to heavy bass, and shortness of breath, I propose you have developed a condition called acute pericarditis. Please do the following tests,

  1. Chest X-ray.
  2. ECG (electro cardiogram).
  3. ECHO (echo cardiogram).
  4. Electrolytes test.
  5. Check your blood pressure and other vital signs.

I suggest you take the following medications. Consult your doctor and take the medications only with their consent.

  1. Tablet Propanolol 10 mg once daily.
  2. Tablet Vasoprin (Aspirin and Isosorbide mononitrate) 75 mg once daily.
  3. Tablet Furosemide 20 mg once daily.

If your symptoms persist, schedule another appointment for a follow-up with the laboratory results.

I hope this helps.

Please revert so I can assist you further.

Thank you.
