Are my nerve symptoms related to HIV neuropathy?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I had tested with five different manufacturers of HIV rapid kits at home after three to four sexual exposures. Present symptoms include pain in the body, weakness, palpitations, and a continued burning sensation in different body parts that shifted from one place to another. I have gotten checked for vitamin B12 and vitamin D3. Both are normal. I am not suffering from diabetes. Please let me know the following:

  1. Is this test conclusive, accurate, and reliable?
  2. Do I need to test more?
  3. Am I negative for HIV 100%?
  4. Why am I having these neuropathy-like symptoms?

Please help.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

No need to worry about HIV. There is no need for further testing. All these symptoms are due to stress and anxiety.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.
