Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I think I had balanitis. I wash my penis every day, and it went away in a few days, but it came back again with red spots, and I see little cuts in the head of my penis. I am not circumcised, and the skin under the head is red and itches. Also, I masturbate a lot. What should I do? I am very afraid. Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

Regarding your symptoms, I believe you have developed acute balanitis due to frequent masturbation. I would suggest you do the following:

1. Apply Clindamycin ointment twice a day for one week.

2. Take the tablet Metronidazole 400 mg three times a day for one week.

3. Capsule Co-Amoxiclav (Amoxicillin and Clavulanic acid) 625 mg, twice a day for one week.

4. Ointment 0.2 percent Tacrolimus - Eczema or atopic.

5. Ointment 0.05 percent Clobetasol three times a day or 0.2 percent Hydrocortisone for three months.

6. Tablet Hydroxyzine 25 mg for one week.

If your symptoms persist, schedule another appointment for follow-up via chat, phone, or video consultation.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
