Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

It is negative, according to TPHA (Treponema Pallidum Hemagglutination Assay). If it was done three months after probable exposure and no further exposure occurred, the result would be negative for syphilis.

I hope I have answered your question.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards.

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

What is the significance of the number 0.02 written in the brackets after the negative in the report (the report I attached to my original question)? Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

That is the O.D value (optical density). It tells the intensity of positivity of a test. It was a negative result. The final interpretation of the test result matters for any index value.

I hope I have answered your question.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards.
