Can STDs occur without intercourse?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I visited a massage parlor yesterday and in the middle of the massage, the lady removed her shirt and pants and lay with her breast in my mouth. I went ahead and suckled the nipples. She held my penis in her knees and I went on to ejaculate. There was no penetration as her vagina was always around my stomach. Should I get tested for any STD or STI?

Thanks

Patient's Query

Thank you for the reply doctor,

What symptoms should I be looking for? Please answer.

Answered by Dr. Pandian. P

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

As you have touched her breasts and had close bodily contact resulting in sweating, you may experience some symptoms which are quite vague, such as tiredness, an unusual fever, unexplained diarrhea, and enlargement of lymph nodes. All of these symptoms can occur only if she is affected by a sexually transmitted infection (STI). Otherwise, the chances of contracting an STI are very low. In the meantime, as a precautionary measure, you can take a course of antibiotics for seven days to be on the safer side. Since there was no penetration involved, the chances of contracting HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) or any other similar infections are extremely low.

I hope this helps you.

Regards.

Thank you for the reply doctor,

If any of these symptoms do not occur, is a course of antibiotics required?

Thank you

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Yes, you can believe that you are free of STIs if you do not have any symptoms for up to six weeks. I suggested you, for the prevention aspects of taking antibiotics immediately.

if you do not want to take antibiotics, it is fine.

I hope this helps you.

Regards.
