Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am a 21-year-old male, and my hairline is receding. I think I have male pattern baldness due to hard water effects. There is a white buildup at the end of fallen hair. What are the steps to follow? Is there any method to regain hairline?
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your query.
I will explain everything about hair loss. 100 to 150 hair falls every day is very normal. So it should be considered hair fall if the number of hair is more than this. Generalized hair fall is mostly due to stress, poor sleep, and nutrition. Stress alopecia is also common in which female keeps their hair very tight in a certain manner, which creates tension in the root and causes hair fall. Straightening and other procedures also cause weakness of the root. Other conditions like fever, typhoid, malaria, thyroid, etc also cause hair fall but are less common.
Suggested treatment:
1. Have a good sleep.
2. Consume healthy food, including green vegetables and fruits.
3. Take iron and multivitamins like Follihair (amino acids, vitamins, minerals, botanical extracts) for at least three months.
4. Check your blood hemoglobin. If it is less, iron and folic acid supplements should start.
5. Apply Mintop (Minoxidil) 5 % lotion over the hair loss area.
Hope this addresses your concern.
Kind regards.
