Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am suffering from a bump below my anus. I have many bumps like that. Can you suggest me some medication for the bumps to stop temporarily and clear my existing ones?
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and understand your concern. I suggest you answer a few questions: Is there any history of unprotected sexual intercourse? Since how many days you are noticing it? Is there any increase in size or number? Is it painful? Do you have itching? Is any discharge present? How is the feel of the lesion, hard or soft? Are these lesions present on your scrotal skin? The probable diagnosis would be Idiopathic scrotal calcinosis.
The treatment plan would be as follows: Conservative approach. If there is no pain or itching, it can be observed and does not require any treatment. If you are worried esthetically, you can get it excised.
I hope this has helped you.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thank you for the reply.
No, I did not have any sexual intercourse. I do not have any itching or pain. Sometimes it just bursts and white liquid comes out. Can I use Benzoyl ointment?
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
It mostly points towards idiopathic scrotal calcinosis. Surgery is the only mainstay of treatment. Benzoyl (Benzoyl peroxide) ointment will not help.
I hope this has helped you.
Thank you.
