How to manage liver cirrhosis and hepatitis C?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My aunty’s age is about 48 years and she has been suffering from liver cirrhosis and hepatitis C. The doctor recommended Ribavirin, Daclatasvir, and Safthil. She is under her course but still she has pain in her liver after eating and after doing some work. Can you please help me or guide me on what I should do?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

It would be best if you could upload her medical records, doctor's notes, and investigation reports.

Regarding pain on the right side, give information about:

  1. Were there any gallbladder stones in the ultrasound test?

  2. What is she taking for her blood sugar control?

Medicines for hepatitis C virus (HCV) seem alright, but before I can say anything specific, I would like to go through all her medical records. Also, describe all her problems in as much detail as possible.

Kindly consult a specialist doctor, talk with them, and take medications with their consent.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
