Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am 52 years old. I had jaundice three years back and six months back with bilirubin 3.6 mg/dL. A month back, I checked, and the blood reports were normal. Now, three days back, I suffered from loose motion for two days. At that time, the blood report showed bilirubin 2.6 mg/dL. I am a pure vegetarian. I never take outside food or water. Why am I frequently suffering from stomach problems like this? I also have breathing problems, back, neck, and joint pains, along with cramps. Two years ago, a hysterectomy operation was done. I also have keloid pain.
Please help.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
Well, high bilirubin can be caused by many factors like infections, medicines, inherited diseases, or autoimmune diseases. Now, in your case, if you have not done USG (ultrasonography) abdomen, ALT (alanine aminotransferase), AST (aspartate aminotransferase), immunoglobulin, and antigen tests for hepatitis. Consult your local GP (general practitioner) to prescribe them and get them done for further management. If infection is ruled out, we will check for any autoimmune cause. Sometimes diarrhea (loose motion) can be caused by some substances we use in our daily kitchen, and sometimes, it may be related to stress or anxiety. Do you have any morning stiffness, dental caries problems, dry mouth, frequent burning of eyes, or infection of eyes? I suggest you get the above tests done and consult afterward for further management with me or at your local clinic.
I hope that you get your answer.
Follow up if you have more doubts.
Thank you.
