Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My boyfriend and I do not use protection. I have been with him for two years so I do not really worry about STDS (since we both had Chlamydia over a year ago and got treated together). I just recently started taking my birth control a few days ago because I had an abortion back in December.
I just recently started being able to squirt during intercourse. But the last time, I fell sick when we tried to do this thing as I started bleeding. I also smoke sometimes. What to do?
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I went through your query.
I can understand your concern.
Your main presenting symptoms are slight discharge during sexual intercourse which is a normal thing. You had bleeding during sex but since you are at a young age, I don't think the bleeding is related to any serious issue like carcinoma. But yes, if you want to clear your doubts then you have to get a USG (ultrasound) pelvis and transvaginal done to rule out any lesion. This could be related to your past infection of Chlamydia too. This should be ruled out first of all.
Other possible causes are benign lesions considering your age like cervical polyps or endometrial polyps. Even cervical infections or pelvic infections could cause post-coital bleeding. So these causes should be ruled out. So remain relaxed and consult a doctor. The symptoms are not related to cancer.
Avoid smoking for some days as this could also increase the risk of bleeding and vomiting.
Hope it helps.
Thanks and regards.
