Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have a rash-like area on my neck that is itchy, rough, and has dry patches. I have been itching for two to three days, but today I finally decided to take a closer look, and I noticed that the area is darker than the rest of my neck.
Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
I am very sorry about your medical condition, and I am glad that you are paying attention to changes in your body system. But do not worry, I am here to take care of you. Regarding your symptoms, I believe you have developed hyperpigmented skin dermatitis, an inflammatory disease of the skin associated with severe itching caused by fungi, bacteria, or work infestation. Any history of drug allergy, exposure to pollen grain or flower, any insect bite in the past, or change of cosmetics or exposure to stagnant water?
Please do a skin snip or scraping test and reply to me with the result. Please take the following:
Topical 0.2 percent Tacrolimus cream.
Topical 0.05 percent Clobetasol every day or 0.2 percent Hydrocortisone cream twice daily for 1 month.
One tablet of Hydroxyzine 25mg (milligrams) orally every day for two weeks.
Three tablets of Praziquantel 600 mg orally.
I hope this helps.
Kindly follow up if you have more concerns.
Thank you.
