Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have some black spots on my glans penis. I do not have swelling or itching. I had a fungal infection before, which was treated by a dermatologist. Is it normal now or do I need further treatment?
Kindly help.
Hello,

Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Is it normal?
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I have reviewed the image you have provided (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity) and I do understand your concern. It is absolutely normal to experience hyperpigmentation on the glans penis especially using productive age groups. There is nothing to worry about. Make sure to not use strong soaps, or strong scents, and avoid using constant pressure on the affected area. Make sure to wash the area with diluted soap and water solution. Use a moisturizer for the affected area. If you already have a moisturizer please use the same. Excessive friction or pressure on delicate private parts can cause veins to become more prominent. The above will help settle the current issue and prevent future recurrences as well. Keep a constant check from time to time and in case of future recurrences or any discomforts experienced, please do consult a doctor in person for examination purposes.
I hope this helps.
