Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Why is my penis foreskin attached to the backside of the tip? Please suggest some ointment or oral medicine. There is no irritation sometimes, only it becomes reddish and it disappears after applying Clotrimazole.
Thank you.
Hi,
I am glad you chose icliniq for your medical-related queries.
I understand your concern and will try to help you with it. If the issue is resolved with Clotrimazole cream, it might be attributed to a fungal infection.
Follow these steps for management:
Opt for loose cotton innerwear.
Prevent friction and irritation.
Ensure adequate ventilation.
Clean the area with warm water twice daily.
Avoid harsh soaps; consider using a gentle cleanser.
Apply a topical antifungal cream such as Clotrimazole or Miconazole.
Check for fungal infection in your partner, if applicable, and treat accordingly.
Assess for diabetes; if present, seek appropriate treatment.
If the condition persists or worsens, consult with a dermatologist for further examination and management.
Thank you for consulting me.

Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thank you for the reply.
Why is the skin attached in that manner? Is there an ointment to address this? While applying Clotrimazole temporarily reduces redness, it recurs after a few days. Although there is no irritation, I seek recommendations for both oral medicine and ointment.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I read and understand your concern.
Partial skin attachment on the backside of the penis is often normal and may have been present since a young age, typically requiring no cause for concern. However, if this attachment is recent or appears fresh, it is advisable to consult a doctor, dermatologist, or surgeon for a thorough local examination and appropriate management. For antifungal treatment, topical options like Clotrimazole or Miconazole cream are beneficial. In cases requiring oral antifungal medication, Fluconazole 150 milligrams weekly, for a duration of 4 to 6 weeks, may be considered after consulting with your doctor.
Looking forward to your response in order to help you.
Thank you.
