Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I ate two plates of chicken momos exactly four days ago at night and then went to play cricket. After playing, I drank cold water down my throat and continued playing for a few minutes.
After a few hours, my stomach began to hurt tremendously, and I was unable to sleep. I fell asleep around 8 a.m., suffering from a stomach ache. When I awoke, I had a fever that had spiked during the night, and after putting moist rags on my forehead, my body temperature was 103.6 Fahrenheit. It proceeded, and I also became free from the previous morning. After four days, my fever is gone, but my loose motion is stuck. I poop around nine times daily. I am taking proper medication to stop loose motion, but nothing is working. My stool or poop color coming out is dark brown.
This morning, I tried to look a little closer. It felt like stuffing with momos or something rotten was in my stomach. Please recommend to me how to clean my stomach completely.
Kindly help.
.Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern.
It is crucial to address your health concerns promptly. Based on your description, it seems like you might have experienced food poisoning from the chicken momos. The dark brown color of your stool and the frequency of bowel movements suggest its infection. In the meantime, continue with your current medication, but if it does not improve your symptoms within a few days, seek medical attention. It is essential to identify the cause of your symptoms and receive appropriate treatment to prevent complications.
In addition to taking medication, drink plenty of water and clear fluids like electrolyte solutions to replace lost fluids and electrolytes. Give your body time to recover from the illness. Consume easy-to-digest foods such as rice, bananas, toast, and boiled vegetables. Gradually reintroduce other foods as your symptoms improve. Steer clear of spicy, fatty, or high-fiber foods, as they can exacerbate your symptoms. Take an economic sachet and drink oral rehydration salt. You will require antibiotics, so please see a doctor who can prescribe you medicines.
I hope that you got your answer.
Please let me know if you need any help.
Take care.
