Can masturbating daily cause infertility or lower the chances of having a boy baby?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 25-year-old guy. From my puberty to date, I have been masturbating. I used to masturbate one or two times a day. I would like to know if this could cause infertility since a few people say that the chances of me having a boy baby is very low. Is this true? Please let me know.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

Masturbation is normal, and about 95 out of 100 males do it. It is just another way of having sex without a partner. It is a good practice and has the following benefits:

  1. It helps to relieve stress.
  2. Boosts mood.
  3. Improves sleep.
  4. Helps to prevent depression and anxiety.
  5. Relaxes the mind of a person.
  6. Relieves pain and muscle cramps.
  7. Relieves the sexual tension.
  8. Improves the confidence of a person.
  9. Allows one to have better sex.
  10. Helps the person understand his needs and desires.
  11. In females, masturbation increases vaginal blood flow.

Masturbation will not harm your penis. Doing it two to three times a week is not an issue, but more than that can cause tiredness, loss of concentration, and a sense of infertility.

The following are a few ways to reduce masturbation:

  1. Sex education.
  2. Physical exercises.
  3. Sleep adjustment.
  4. Quality of sleep.
  5. Healthy and balanced diet.
  6. Programming for leisure time.
  7. Development of spirituality.
  8. Taking a cold bath.

For tiredness or a decrease in strength you can take the multivitamin capsule Astymin Forte once in the morning and tablet calcium and vitamin D3 (Shelcal) once at night after food for 30 days. Remember that masturbation is not related to infertility, and it will not decide the sex of the baby.

I hope you got answers to all the queries that you had. Do get back if you have any further queries.

Thank you.
