Why is my skin suddenly dry, sweating excessively, and irritated after using vitamin C serum?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My skin has become so dry and I sweat a lot when I touch it. It has been so hot for a few days. I do not know why. There is redness and burning after applying vitamin C serum at night I washed my face because of this. Kindly suggest.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query and understand your concern. With your description, it seems you are having sensitivity to vitamin C serum. I suggest you stop using it and use Desoadd gel (Desonide) local application twice daily for five days. I hope this will help you.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the reply. Can I apply it as my normal skincare routine? Because I have small acne.
