Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am experiencing excessive thirst with a lot of urination, after water intake and I urinate within 30 minutes. Urine appears clear and water and some foam in it. My skin is dry and I suffer from insomnia.
I had a CT scan with IV dye and urine analysis done two months ago and they were normal. Recently I got a blood test done which showed creatinine of 0.64 mg/dL, eGFR of more than 90, potassium levels of 3.83 mEq/L, and sodium levels of 137 mmol/L. BMP basic metabolic panel was fine with no abnormalities. I am concerned about the reason causing my condition. Kindly help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern regarding increased thirst and frequent urination.
Frequent urination may occur due to various reasons like high blood sugar levels, diabetes insipidus, overactive bladder causing frequent urges, and other psychogenic reasons. It is not always necessary that kidneys are the reason for frequent urination, hormonal disbalance may also cause it. I suggest you follow the below-mentioned instructions
I hope this information will help you.
Thank you.
