Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My friend tried to insert my penis into his anus, but it did not got penetrate. I became afraid and cleaned my penis with soap daily continuously for 10 days. After three days, I felt burning sensation in my urinary tract. After 10 days, I noticed yeast-like rashes with red spots, a white substance,s and itching. I met with a skincare doctor. I did not reveal the above incident. I showed him. He gave me antifungal cream and tablets for two days.

  1. May I know why I got this infection? Was it due to over-cleaning of the penis with soap or is it a symptom of sexual infection? I had anal contact with him for 30 seconds, during which no penetration occurred. His anus was tight, so could not insert it.

  2. Also, the glans penis skin looks shining after the treatment of applying the cream.

  3. My friend donated blood for three months before. He did not get any abnormality call from the blood bank. Does the blood bank check the blood thoroughly?

  4. Sometimes, I feel pain in my arms and legs muscles. I was very nervous and could not sleep well.

  5. Kindly clarify these issues, even though my query is long enough.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.

I do understand your concern.

If there is no discharge from the penis and there are no ulceration or blistering, then there is no need to worry. This could be a candida infection, most likely, and should respond to antifungal therapy. The burning could be due to a mild to moderate urinary tract infection. Overcleaning of penis with harsh soaps could also increase the risk of fungal infection. So, no need to remain distressed. This is not a sexually transmitted infection. Yes, blood banks check then blood properly. Still, if you have doubts get his test done.
