How to manage blackheads, sebaceous filaments, and clogged pores on the nose?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I need help managing my combination of normal skin, as I am 18 years old. I have blackheads, sebaceous filaments, and clogged pores on the nose but whiteheads on my chin. Then random breakouts on the cheeks or forehead and excess oil on the nose, but my cheeks are not dry, not oily, just normal. I do not know what to do anymore because no matter what, I always just end up with breakouts on the nose or forehead, and my skin is always oily. Random breakouts occur at least once every week or two weeks. Please help because I do not want to ruin or damage my skin but also want to treat it.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I thoroughly read your query and understand your concern.

I suggest you follow these measures to cure acne and acne-related pigmentation:

1) Use a face wash with salicylic acid.

2) Apply water-based sunscreen and moisturizer.

3) Apply an adapalene-benzoyl peroxide gel to the acne lesion exclusively at night. Utilize Kojic cream (kojic acid and Axeloglicina) on pigmented areas.

4) Talk to your doctor about the potential benefits of chemical peels. Both acne and pigmentation will be lessened.

5) Steer clear of facials and oily makeup. Get regular comedones extractions.

I hope that will assist with your skin issue.

If you have any questions or doubts, do respond in writing.

Regards.
