Do Ketoconazole and Zinc pyrithione lotions cause dry skin and black spots?

Hello,
I am suffering from an acne problem on my back. The doctor recommended Ketoconazole and Zinc pyrithione lotion which was effective but it made my skin dry and now my spots turn black.
