How to get rid of acne scars permanently?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have been using Mamonde rose water toner for the past few weeks. Then I put castor oil and sometimes rose hip seed oil every night. I have discovered that I can lighten acne scars and prevent acne because of its antibacterial properties. I also use this pimple eraser on the red marks. Hoping it will diminish. But it is getting worst. I conceal the red marks using makeup foundation and concealer to hide those red marks. It could not get any better.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

They are cystic acne. Pimple is somewhat hormonal and due to oily skin.

Follow this treatment -

1. Do not use hair oil or sticky cream on your face.

2. Avoid oily food, chocolate, and milk products.

3. Avoid dust. Use a sunscreen (above 30 SPF).

4. Any cream, do not rub it on the face.

5. Do not use any steroid creams.

6. Continue treatment for at least one month.

7. Facewash or soap is not a treatment and is not much used in full.

8. Do not touch acne, and avoid pressing it.

For treatment

Clindamycin (Clintop, Faceclin, Clear gel) is more preventive and curative, so I tell patients to use it all over the face in the morning.

Use Adapalene gel (different) over acne at night.

Tablet Doxy 100 milligrams once a day.
