Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I got four wisdom teeth pulled about three days ago. Blood clots are set, and there is no bleeding. I am on a dose of Ibuprofen, T3, and an antibiotic. I am a smoker. If I have my vape on full airflow, is it fine?
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have gone through your question, and I can understand your concern.
I have gone through your question, and I can understand your concern. The chances of dry sockets are higher for the first 48 hours because of negative pressure development during smoking. If you do not have any symptoms of a burning sensation, that means your wound is healing normally. Yes, you can take, but not so a forced one, as it may still do some harm.
Secondly, smoking delays wound healing too. It is better either to avoid it for the first four days or to take it in such a way that negative pressure does not develop too much.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reach out in case of further queries.
Thank you.
