Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am 26 years old. I acquired a COVID-19 infection six months ago, and since then, I have developed many sinus problems. I had a lot of mucus. I took medications, and it was fine. Now, I have developed wheezing in my throat whenever I breathe, or it gets cold. My throat starts to wheeze all the time. I feel like my throat is inflamed. I get wheezing sounds when I exhale, and I can hear it. I have not taken any medication yet.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com. I can understand your concern. According to your history and description, there is the possibility of asthma. So I suggest CBC (complete blood count), IgE level, chest X-ray, and PFT (pulmonary function test) for the diagnosis of asthma. In addition, you may need inhaled bronchodilators and corticosteroids. Please let me know after the test reports arrive. I will be happy to help you further. I wish you good health.
