I have vomiting in the early morning. Why?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I had vomiting in the early morning. I consulted a doctor, and the doctor told me that it is due to an allergy. I want to know the reason for vomiting. Please suggest.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Vomiting can occur due to allergies. The causes of vomiting are extensive. It can also happen due to gastritis. If you are having hyperacidity and indigestion, then you can have frequent vomiting. I suggest you take PPI (proton pump inhibitor) with a Domperidone combination like Nexpro-RD capsule (Domperidone with Esomeprazole) in the morning on an empty stomach. When your symptoms get reduced, you can do an upper gastrointestinal endoscopy to know the cause of vomiting. Avoid having an empty stomach for a prolonged period and avoid taking water immediately after taking food during lunch and dinner.
