Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am 57-year-old male. I am facing weakness and high fever and body pain symptoms for a while now. Upon doing some routine tests with a local clinic, the test values are as below:
What do the above values signify? In addition to this, my iron is 18.22 and my TIBC is 300.72, ferritin is 213.00. I had colon surgery for colitis nine years back. Currently, I am taking Panadol, Ferroglobin.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Fever, weakness, and lymphocytosis in CBC are suggestive of viral infection. Symptomatic management is done with nonsteroid anti-inflammatory drugs. Your physical examination should be done first which includes lymph nodes, spleen, liver palpation, auscultation, etc. Investigate with peripheral smear examination report as well. According to the physical examination, if needed, the doctor will suggest doing further investigation.
If a sore throat, abdominal pain or any other specific symptoms present then inform about that. After recovery from fever, iron tablets are needed to recover from anemia. Provide peripheral smear examination report once done.
Take care. Consult a physician for examination.
