My dad has had varicose veins for the last 10 years. It is not troubling, but it is uncomfortable. Please let me know what treatments are available for it, other than surgery, and which is the best option with no side effects or complications.

The only option with no side effects or complications is just compression stockings. However, every situation has a different need and will have a distinct best solution.
