Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am 19 years old and a virgin. I have not had a good period flow for the past six months. Six months ago, I got my periods, which lasted only two days. Then for two months, I did not have my period, and three months back, I had my period but no bleeding; only my vaginal discharge was bright red for five days, and it is only seen when I pass urine but is not visible on the sanitary pads. I had my period in the last and second last month, but the flow was minimal. On the first and third days, the discharge was red and thin. I had no bleeding this month, and my discharge was red for three days.
Please tell me what my problem is.
I am too scared to visit any hospital and have a vulval infection. I am guessing it is bacterial vaginosis. My skin becomes delicate, red, and bleeds if I scratch. It also turns white patchy when dry and has a foul smell. I always feel my vulval area is wet or watery.
What happened to me?
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
It seems to be due to a mixed infection. Clean the vagina with vaginal wash regularly. Use Clingen vaginal tablets (Clindamycin and Clotrimazole) on your vagina one dosage per day. Take capsule Itraconazole 200 mg, one dosage per day. Also, take the tablet Zathrin (macrolide antibiotic) 500 mg daily, and tablet Metrogyl er (Metronidazole) one tablet twice a day.
All the mentioned tablets should be taken for three days. Please send me a follow-up after three days. After completing the above course, I will advise you on further treatment for a good period flow.
