Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

I understand your concern. The urgency and burning sensation while urinating are common symptoms of UTI (urinary tract infection). Usually, prolonged holding causes these sensations. Children often hold urine due to discomfort and stress. UTIs are often associated with fever. Was there any fever?

I suggest you follow the instructions mentioned below,

  1. Please make sure your child is not under stress.
  2. Ensure she is well hydrated and goes for urination when required.
  3. Ask her not to hold the urine.
  4. Make sure she wears comfortable clothes.

After these interventions, I suggest doing a few tests if she still feels the same symptoms. Get urine routine microscopy and urine culture test done.

If the laboratory report confirms UTI, we can start the medications accordingly.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.
