Why do I have burning sensation while passing urine and having sex in spite of taking medications?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have had a burning sensation while passing the urine and difficulty getting sleep. I consulted doctors who prescribed antibiotics for urinary tract infections, but after investigating the urine, I learned I did not have a urinary tract infection. My gynecologist prescribed me tablets like Polygynax, Norethisterone Zentiva, and Dalacin, but none helped. However, I feel the burning sensation even while having sex. Also, I have dryness in the area. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. Drink an ample amount of water daily and also use some lubrication like vaseline during intercourse. I suggest syrup Neeri or Citralka liquid 15 ml in 200 ml water thrice a day for three weeks, and you can avoid antibiotics for now. Thank you.
