Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My vagina suddenly feels super sensitive after peeing and there is a burning sensation.
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
A urinary tract infection (UTI) is an infection in any part of the urinary system. The urinary system includes the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra. Most infections involve the lower urinary tract- the bladder and the urethra.
Women are at greater risk of developing a UTI than men. If an infection is limited to the bladder, it can be painful and annoying. But serious health problems can result if a UTI spreads to the kidneys.
Signs and symptoms include:
Burning micturition.
Urgency.
Frequency.
Dysuria.
Sometimes hematuria.
I will advise you to do the complete urine examination test.
Take the following medications:
Tablet Ciprofloxacin (Ciproxin) 500 milligrams twice a day for seven days.
Cran max (cranberry extract) sachet, mix with a glass of water, twice a day for 20 days.
I hope this has helped you. Please feel free to reach me again, in case of further queries.
Thank you.
