Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a 28-year-old female. I have small fiber neuropathy (unknown cause), muscle weakness, and frequent muscle spasms. The only test that came back abnormal was the VGKC-AB test. My left eye has been continuously twitching nonstop for the past few days. It does not hurt but is driving me insane. What should I do to subside the symptoms that I deal with it? I want to know if there is anything I should worry about? Should I seek help at this point?
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I passed carefully through your question and would explain that your symptoms could be related to vitamin D deficiency or vitamin B12 deficiency.
For this reason, I would recommend rechecking these vitamin levels. In the meantime, I would recommend taking Gabapentin or Pregabalin to help improve your situation.
Another treatment option would be Clonazepam, which can reduce muscle twitching and muscle spasm.
I hope this helps.
Patient's Query
Thank you doctor,
I stopped taking Gaba about a year ago because I could not function at work anymore. I fell asleep at my desk several times. I have been off all medications for a significant amount of time now because of the side effects. However, I will look into going in and getting my levels retested to check for Vitamin B12 and D deficiencies. Do you not think eye twitching is anything to worry?
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Eye twitching is widespread during anxiety or caffeine intake. So, I would recommend avoiding caffeine. Vitamin D deficiency can also trigger it. Anyway, I do not think that this is anything serious. Regarding the drugs, you should try a low dose of Clonazepam and see if it helps.
I hope this helps.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
