Why do I get wrinkles on the glans penis after using Lobate cream for pimples?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I got a tiny little pimple on my penis that vanishes when I use ointment Lobate GM, and my glan skin seems to get a wrinkle, and it is not smooth anymore. I do not know what to do. Please help.

Thanks.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Lobate GM (Clobetasol, Miconazole, Neomycin) cream contains a steroid; continuous application makes your skin thinner. I hope there are no pimples at present on your glans. If you have pimples or any rash, consult a dermatologist. Apply two drops of coconut oil after bath and at night time after cleaning your glans with water. Do not use any soap over the glans.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

There are tiny pimples, but they are not visible like you must concentrate. It looks like a yeast infection. Because when I stopped using that ointment, it came back again.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

If it is reoccurring, then it could be a fungal infection. Stop using Lobate GM (Miconazole and Neomycin). It gives you immediate relief, but when you stop it again, it flares up. Since you have been using this cream, it will take time for the infection to subside. Wrinkles will decrease with time once you stop the cream. You can send me pictures later or consult a dermatologist at his clinic.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.

Investigations to be done

Blood sugar level such as fasting, and postprandial levels.

Treatment plan

Preventive measures

If you are sexually active make sure your partner does not have any kind of discharge.
