Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have had a stye in my eyes for the past few days. However, it did not resolve by using warm water. Can you suggest me a treatment for that? Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern. I suggest you follow some instructions. Do warm compresses instead of warm water. Take a clean cloth, dip it in bearable water and keep it on your closed eyelid for about ten minutes, thrice a day. Take over-the-counter medications such as Moxifloxacin (antibiotic) 0.5 % eyedrops or Tobramycin (aminoglycoside antibiotic) 0.3 % eyedrops. Take a tablet of Paracetamol (painkiller) 650 milligrams three times a day. I also suggest you to avoid rubbing your eye because this causes minute dirt particles in your fingers to get into your eyes and cause stye and other infections. Always keep your hands clean. Kindly consult a specialist, talk with them, and take medicines with their consent. I hope this has helped you. Thanks and regards.
