Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Yesterday, I experienced what I believe to be implantation bleeding. However, I had intercourse on a safe date and used protection, and my pregnancy test also returned negative. Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have read your query, and I can understand your concern.
Implantation bleeding is light vaginal bleeding or spotting that occurs around the time of implantation when the fertilized egg attaches to the uterus. It can happen in some women approximately 6 to 12 days after ovulation, coinciding with the expected time of menstruation. However, implantation bleeding is not a reliable indicator of pregnancy, as it can be attributed to other factors such as hormonal changes, cervical irritation, or cervical polyps.
If you have taken a pregnancy test and received a negative result, it is unlikely that you are pregnant at this time. However, if you continue to have concerns about your fertility or menstrual cycle, please let me know for further evaluation and guidance.
I hope I have answered your question.
Thank you.
