Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I got my health checkup report the day before. I have undergone umbilectomy two years back and surgery for an inguinal hernia one year back. Now I have tongue pain, and I consulted ENT for the same. Could you please advise me after going through my reports?
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have seen all your reports (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). You have mild vitamin D deficiency and mildly deranged cholesterol. I suggest taking capsule Uprise D3 60k (Vitamin D3) once a week for eight weeks and tablet Rosulip (Rosuvastatin) 10 mg once a day at night. Apart from this, no other medication is required. If you have any symptoms, I suggest you treatment them accordingly.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thank you for the reply.
Could you please advise in the following?
a) HDL cholestrol - Direct photometery 78 mg/dL 40 to 60.
b) TC or HDL cholestrol ratio calculated 2.5 ratio 3 to 5.
c) LDL or HDL ratio calculated 1.3 ratio 1.5 to 3.5.
d) BUN to serum creatinine ratio calculated 24.9 ratio 9:1 to 23:1.
e) Monocytes absolute count -160.00/µL.
I have constant pain in the tongue. There were very tiny blisters a few months back, but now it is not there.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
The reports you mentioned are more or less within the normal range apart from cholesterol, for which I suggested tablet Rosulip. Tablet Rosulip is more than enough to control that. Secondly, the pain in the tongue can be due to a minor infection. I suggest taking tablet Mahacef CV (Cefixime and Clavulanic acid) 325 mg twice daily, tablet Forcan (Fluconazole) 150 mg once a day for three days, and Candid mouth paint (Clotrimazole) thrice daily. Blisters and pain can occur on the tongue by eating something hot which burns the tongue. Kindly revert if you have any further queries.
