Hi doctor,

I took an endoscopy test. Tell me what the impression means. Is it serious? Now, I am having pain in the throat when bending and pain in the chest when burping. How can this be healed? What medicine can I take? Please advise me.

Nothing to worry. There is some acidity issues as well as possibility of reflux of acid from stomach to food tube (esophagus). Need diet modifications.

  1. Avoid excess spicy or masala based foods.
  2. Avoid excess coffee or carbonated drinks.
  3. Take short frequent feeds rather than stomach full feeds.
  4. Avoid sleeping or lying down immediately after taking food. Give a break of 30 minutes to one hour.
  5. I suggest Nexpro-D (Esomeprazole and Domperidone) tablet for two weeks.

Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her and start taking the medicines with their consent.

Nexpro-D will be fine. Take it for three weeks.

Smoking can worsen these symptoms. Better to avoid.

Sorry to say this. I have drunk before two days and vomited a lot. Once blood came and when I eat something, there is a pain when swallowing pain in the back left side shoulder. I think some wound will happen. How to clear it? I have stopped drinking in my lifetime. Please advice some medicine for this. No vomiting for the past two days.

You can continue Nexpro-D twice daily before food.

Add syrup Sucrafil-O (Sucralfate and Oxetacaine) 10 ml thrice daily.

If not settling, we may have to get a chest X-ray or do a repeat endoscopy. Avoid drinks from now. Better have a bland liquid diet for next few days.

Do consider a review after two days or earlier if symptoms not settling.

I took a master health blood test, and my vitamin B12 is high. Help me, I am afraid I have been admitted to the hospital for 25 days for alcohol addiction, and they gave vitamin tablet and an injection.
