Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I'm a 33-year-old mother of a boy who is 2 years old. We have been experiencing these itching rashes recently. I have them predominantly on my legs, and my son has them on his neck, upper back, and cheeks. After scratching them, they become open sores. Please help us determine whether it might be a protein allergy or an insect bite.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern. I would like to request you to answer the following questions:

1. Let us know if you have body itchiness.

2. Does your son also itch in his genital area?

3. Do you get itchiness?

4. Given that both of you are itching, it might be scabies.

Please follow up so that I can have a complete history and assist you with your treatment.

1. I suggest you must use a proper cream for the treatment.

2 . Wash all of your clothing and bed linens, then expose them to the sun.

3. Is the itching more at night?

Please seek advice for a suitable prescription.

I hope you have found this useful.

Regards and thanks.
