How to deal with painful urination, vaginal lumps, and discharge?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I observed that I was having painful urination last week. When checking my vagina, I saw small lumps around the area. After three days, I checked again through a mirror and saw that the lumps were multiplying and getting bigger. Also, there is a discharge from my vagina. It is not so much, but it feels so weird. What could this be?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Your detailed history gives an indication of sexually transmitted diseases that need investigation and evaluation.

1. It could be any abscess, wart, or infective lesions.

2. It is better to have a urinalysis, urine culture, and high vaginal swab to evaluate pelvic infection and a local detailed vaginal examination by a gynecologist, as you might need a biopsy as well.

3. Follow laboratory results and discuss with a gynecologist here or with a local gynecologist.

4. Drink lots of cranberry juice.

5. You might need to have a biopsy of multiplying lumps.

6. Start medicine after having a vaginal swab.

7. Tablet Doxycycline 100 mg and Metronidazole 400 mg eight hourly for seven days.

8. Follow strict hygiene.

9. Wear comfortable undergarments.

10. Use condoms for sex.

11. Get full treatment for any problem you have.

12. Eat a healthy, nutritious diet with exercise.

Best of Luck.
