What could be the cause of low energy, fatigue, and less sexual desire?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been facing low energy, fatigue, muscle weakness, low metabolism, and less sexual desire. I have been facing this problem for six months. I have taken medicines for cholesterol, fatty liver, and thyroid problems. What could it be?

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

Low Libido can occur due to the following reasons.

1. Infections – It can be due to urine infection (can do urine and ultrasound of the pelvis) to diagnose the cause.

2. Diabetes, Hypertension – Make sure blood pressure and blood sugar are under control.

3. Hormonal disturbances- Low testosterone, low levels of thyroid, or high levels of prolactin.

4. Obesity - Plan for regular exercise and yoga.

5. High cholesterol – Check for lipid profile and plan for regular exercise.

6. Chronic disease or on any chronic medications.

7. Anxiety can also cause libido issues.

I suggest you do an ultrasound of the pelvis.

Hope it helps.

Thanks and regards.
