I heard a pop when I pushed my erect penis down. Did I damage it?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I accidentally pushed down my penis when it was fully erected. While pushing it down, I heard a pop sound, and immediately I lost my erection. Since then, things were not normal as they were before. Now, I can quickly push down my penis while erect, and sexual urges got reduced significantly, sexual pleasure is diminished considerably, I started noticing veins popping out second after the incident. Now, the veins are getting bigger and bigger. I doubt that I have damaged my penile suspensory ligament and some other ligament and veins. Please advise.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Yes, the suspensory ligament has been injured, and it contains the dorsal penile vein by the right side. That has led to venous engorgement and congestion, but veins will resolve with time. And the ligament will not heal unless it is only a partial tear. So what I would suggest is to consult a physician and not wait and observe for three months. Surgical intervention is necessary if the penis does not come to normal function. I hope this helps.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

This incident happened to me at the age of 14. I have been a shy person, I could not discuss any of these issues with my parents. I know it is too late, but now my parents want me to get married so I am left with no options. A lot has been changed since it happened, I never had vein on my penis before, after that happend each time I masterbate the veins started getting bigger and bigger now all those small veins became huge and lot of new small veins popped out of those big veins. Surprisingly, I can still get a full hard on, but it drops while on hard. I can easily push it straight down from 90 to 0 degrees without applying much force. And since then my sexual urges has been getting down. My parents and relatives have body hair and can grow full beard. Unfortunately, I do not have any of these. I think it has affected my testicles as well. In addition, do have symptoms of low testosterone too. I can feel veins on my left testicles and in time developed puffy nipples too. Before that happend, I had a high sexual urges. Now, kinda feel numb down there. Is there any way to get it all treated and have a normal and healthy life back? Please advise.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Regarding the veins in scrotum ultrasound should be done. I would suggest checking serum testosterone level and following up with results so we can proceed. I hope this helps.

Thank you.
