How can a woman lacking sexual interest have a healthy relationship with her partner?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 23 years old, and my boyfriend is 26 years old. I have a relationship issue because I am not interested in sex. My boyfriend wants sex every day, but I do not have that feeling. I do not want to have sex. He gets angry when he cannot have sex. I cannot pretend to have sex. I am depressed and worried that this could destroy the relationship. How to cure this problem? Kindly suggest.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

I suggest you test estrogen, LH (luteinizing hormone), and prolactin levels to rule out the hormonal cause. I also suggest you consult a psychologist and a sexologist for an opinion.

I hope this helps you.

Thank you.
