Can my sudden symptoms of painful sex, bloating, abdominal pain, back pain, and menstrual irregularities indicate ovarian cancer?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 24-year-old female, and I have pain during sex. I have bloating, abdominal pain, back pain, and menstrual irregularities. I have been under sexual life for the past two years and have not felt this pain. All of a sudden, I am experiencing so many symptoms. Also, I am not getting pregnant and have been trying to conceive for the past six months.

Do I have ovarian cancer, or are they normal symptoms that will subside? Please help me and give me some preventive or home remedies to follow.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The cause of your problem seems to be hormonal imbalance or thyroid dysfunction. This may also be due to polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), in which multiple cysts form in one or both ovaries. I would suggest you get the following test done

  • Complete blood count.
  • TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone).
  • Abdominal ultrasound for PCOS.

Your condition must be treated with medicines, and there is no home remedy. Please revert to me with the reports.
