My wife is entering her fourth month of pregnancy. Is it safe to have intercourse now? Is there anything that needs to take care of? We have not had intercourse in the last three months as we were not together. Kindly advise.

After 12 weeks of pregnancy, the placenta has formed, and the bond between mother and baby is strong enough to prevent any problems for the baby. The only issue is the infection in semen. It is valid throughout pregnancy. Semen is a body secretion and will have some bacteria. When you have penetrative sex, sperm can reach the cervical canal. It may make the uterus slightly irritable. So, there is a risk of mild bleeding from the uterus and also a risk of abortion.

The physical movements and jerky effects on the body and uterus are fine, even the presence of a penis inside the vagina is fine, but semen can cause problems sometimes.
