Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My friend had seizures thrice a day in his childhood. Later nothing happened. Now it is just the stretching or vibration in his right-hand fingers. We have got his MRI scan done. I am attaching the report for your reference.
Thank you.
Hello,
Glad to have you back!
I am here to help you get the best medical advice.
The MRI brain is showing calcified granuloma in the left frontal lobe. I am still not aware of what kind of movements or changes used to happen during seizures in childhood. Now as you mentioned stretching or vibration sensation in right-hand fingers - these may be sensory seizures due to calcified granuloma in the left frontal lobe. But it is very difficult to say that it is a sensory seizure or non-specific symptoms. If previous seizures have also been of similar patterns (overall or partially), then there are more chances of these symptoms being sensory. As mentioned in the attached prescription, the tablet Levipil (Levetiracetam) is an anti-epileptic medicine. You should get an EEG (electroencephalogram) done. If it is a sensory seizure, antiepileptic medications will be the mainstay of treatment. You need to regularize your daily routine, especially your sleep-wake pattern. Avoid driving, swimming, bonfire, and alcohol intake.
