Does having sex by pull-out method cause pregnancy?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 18-year-old girl and I recently had sex and used the pull-out method. For a good two weeks now I have been feeling constipated and bloated, my appetite decreased and my period this month never came. I have not been tracking it so not sure. I took a pregnancy test twice and it all came out negative I do not have any symptoms indicating that I may be pregnant like nausea, headaches, increase in appetite, tender breasts increase in urination, etc. I just want to ask, am I really pregnant, or maybe I have a bloated stomach due to my diet as it mainly consists of bread, cheese, and low-fiber foods? Also, I have indigestion as well. personally, I think I have IBS but I would like some professional advice. Kindly suggest.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your case and I understand your concern. According to your description, these are not pregnancy symptoms. If you are not sure about your dates then you should do a blood beta hCG test to make it clear about pregnancy. You should take a high protein and high fiber diet, have more green leafy vegetables, and fruits in your diet, keep yourself hydrated, and take at least three liters of water per day. You can also do Yogasana for good digestion. I hope this information helps you, feel free to ask further queries.

Thank you.
