How to overcome the prone masturbation habit?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been prone masturbating for many years, and I have heard that it can cause erectile dysfunction and make the foreskin of the penis hard. I want to stop it and recover from this. I have no intention of doing it again. How can I overcome this habit? I have seen other comments where doctors advise leaving it for a month and then doing hand practice twice. However, I do not want to do anything now. Is it okay for me to stop and recover from all the damage caused by this habit as soon as possible?

Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq, and thank you for choosing us as your provider for health care.

I have gone through all your details and appreciate your concern.

What you do is called prone masturbation, which is not good. You can have a sexual-related issue in the future, like erectile dysfunction. You need to change over to hand penis masturbation. It will be difficult for a few months but no other option you should change over. You can do it yourself three times a week or you can get help from your partner to help you with penis masturbation. You can stop masturbation for one month and try hand penis masturbation. It will take two to three months for complete recovery.

I hope you are satisfied with my answer. For further queries, you can consult me at icliniq.

Thank you.
