Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a young individual of 34 years of age, with a height of 172 cm and a weight of 80 kg. I ejaculate within a minute. Neither I am on medication nor I have any known illness. Kindly help me with this problem.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Early ejaculation is called premature ejaculation, which is when ejaculation occurs within a minute of vaginal intercourse.

You can manage this problem by the following methods:

1. Using the start-stop technique or squeeze technique.

2. Using condoms.

3. Using local anesthetic Lignocaine gel. Apply one fingertip over the glans of the penis ten minutes before sexual intercourse.

4. Taking tablet Depoxetine 30 mg one hour before sexual intercourse.

Out of all these, the start-stop technique is the most important method. I further advise you to spend more time in foreplay and not to be in hurry. To prescribe tablet Depoxetine 30 mg, you need a video call consultation.

Hope this helps you.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for your response. I tried the methods that you have suggested. However, I am ejaculating immediately after intercourse so I could not try the stop-start technique. I tried using a condom too but my erection goes down as I insert a condom, that is why I could not have intercourse with a condom. Please clarify whether the use of Lignocaine gel could cause any erection problem or it has any other side effects.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

The use of Lignocaine gel may cause some allergy and numbness over the glans of the penis.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I further want to know whether you recommend the use of Lignocaine gel or the tablet Depoxetine 30 mg. Does taking tablet Depoxetine 30 mg also have any adverse effects?

Please suggest which is a better treatment option between the two.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I advise you to go for one option at a time. Try Lignocaine gel the first time, and then tablet Depoxetine 30 mg the next time. You will be able to find out which one is suitable for you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for your advice. Please tell me in case of using the Lignocaine gel, how often can it be used?

Furthermore, how frequently the tablet can be taken?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

The tablet can be taken two times a week and there are no such limitations for using the gel. It can be used every time.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for your response.

Are there any major side effects of using this tablet?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com

The tablet Depoxetine 30 mg is a short-acting SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) medicine; so it can cause nausea, giddiness and vomiting. However, it is usually devoid of serious side effects, if any other medication is not being taken.
