How can I manage psychological premature ejaculation at 22?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 22 years old and currently suffering from premature ejaculation and sometimes erectile dysfunction, possibly due to performance anxiety. I am not sure if it is due to performance anxiety, but I ejaculate within five to six thrusts during skin-to-skin penetration. My penis feels overly sensitive inside the vagina. I have a history of masturbation since early childhood, and it seems like I have trained my ejaculatory reflex to cum quickly. Also, there is performance anxiety because I am unable to satisfy my partner. I am also unfit, with a lower-than-ideal BMI. My life is stressful due to work and study pressure.

Kindly help.

Hello,

I appreciate that you have chosen icliniq.com for your medical needs.

I am here to give you the best care possible.

There are many reasons for premature ejaculation, including:

  1. Stressful work, night duties, and twenty-four-hour jobs.
  2. Diabetes, hypertension, and thyroid issues affect premature ejaculation; keeping your blood sugar, blood pressure, and thyroid hormones under control will help.
  3. Long-term medication related to hypertension and psychiatric conditions.
  4. Frequent masturbation or prone masturbation.
  5. Excessive pornography consumption.
  6. Receiving less foreplay from a partner or lack of knowledge regarding foreplay and female stimulation.
  7. Guilt from having an affair.
  8. Lack of exercise and obesity.

You need to check FBS (fasting blood sugar), and PPBS (postprandial blood sugar) to rule out diabetes, check your blood pressure, and get free T3 (triiodothyronine), T4 (thyroxine), and TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone), and tests to rule out thyroid issues.

I suggest you take tablet Duralast (Dapoxetine) 30 mg as a temporary solution.

Natural methods:

  1. Increase the duration of foreplay during sex. Women should receive 15 to 20 minutes of foreplay, and men should receive 10 to 15 minutes of foreplay for a good blood supply to the penis for a long and hard erection. Foreplay should be done in a relaxed manner. Your partner should learn to give foreplay in a way that you do not ejaculate prematurely and can enjoy it more.
  2. You can try relaxing music.
  3. Delay condoms can help you.

Remember that inserting the penis into the vagina is not everything in sex. Sex is not a race; duration does not necessarily mean your partner is happy. Love your partner, learn about female masturbation, and give your partner orgasm or climax.

Hope I have clarified your query. I will be happy to help you further.

Thank you.
