Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
My wife is not getting pregnant, so the doctor advised us to go for a biopsy. The report's impression is that histological features suggest proliferative phase endometrium with chronic endometritis. What does it mean, and can it be cured?
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
Please send me detailed gynecology, medical, drug, and obstetric history.
I have seen her report (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity), which shows few infectious cells, and the rest of the report is alright. Both of you must take a few health tips and precautions, and if there is no benefit, then go for investigations and treatment accordingly.
I suggest you quit recreational drugs if you have been taking them, as these reduce fertility and can cause fetal anomalies.
If, after following the above-mentioned steps for six months, she is unable to conceive, it is better to have a transvaginal scan and blood tests and discuss them here or with a gynecologist.
I hope this information will help.
Thank you.
